The courses are divided into classes according to the level of difficulty, and according to the age group. At the end of each year an essay is organized at the Politeama Genovese and deserving pupils access the next course.
Professional preparation and participation in national and international competitions, for agonists, is provided for all dance styles.

DANCE COURSES:

  • DANCE PLAYING

course dedicated to children aged 3 to 4, specifically designed to enhance the playful, psycho-motor and expressive aspect of dance. The game is intended as the possibility of knowledge and relationship, as a free exercise of the imagination. Within the sensory-motor activities, play finds its own precise location and becomes a means for the development of the various topics to be treated.

  • PROPEDEUTICS

helps the child to deal with the elements of dynamics, coordination and displacement in space, through games, exercises and improvisations, dealing with themes such as energy, weight, the visual field, balance, concentration, sound and rhythm.

  • CLASSIC DANCE

One of the oldest and most well-known dances, it provides the dancer with the essential theoretical basis for his artistic training which will also help him in the study of other dance styles. There are various classical academic techniques, in Naima Academy the Vaganova technique is mainly taught.

  • MODERN DANCE

a discipline in which different styles blend, indicates the "new dance" that develops from the nineteenth century in contrast to the classical academic approach, addressing a new expressiveness of the movement of dynamics and improvisation. The course is divided into several levels based on age and preparation.

  • HIP HOP

Hip Hop is a movement that includes its own music, dance styles, clothing and languages. The main styles are I Locking, II Popping and Breaking. Born as a street dance, it is currently also expressed in competition between groups or individuals, at an international level.

  • VIDEO DANCE

Videodance, also known as Hip Hop video, is a dance style born for the needs of music video clips, movies and TV shows. In addition to the care of movement and expressiveness, particular attention is given to the relationship with the cameras.

 

  • ACROBATICS

The elements of acrobatics are also increasingly requested by dancers. In this course we work on muscle strength and joint mobility to allow the execution of wheel steps, reversed, flick and rounds.

  • BREAK DANCE

Born in the '70s in the Bronx, it starts with elements of capoeira which are then codified, creating a dance with spectacular acrobatic elements, such as rotations or blocking positions.

  • AFRO DANCE

It mixes sounds, suggestions and movements dating back to cultures such as ancient African and Indian tribal dances.
With its movements inspired by nature, the study of the breath and the emphasis on expressive freedom of the body, this dance promotes physical and mental relaxation, improving posture, elasticity and harmoniously toning the muscles.

  • ZUMBA

Zumba is a group fitness class that uses the rhythms and movements of Afro-Caribbean music, mixed with traditional aerobic movements. The music and choreography have the main purpose of entertaining the practitioner so as to make him forget the physical effort with consequent high calorie consumption.

  • TANGO

The tango is an elegant and passionate dance that is based on sequences of basic steps that lead to improvisation and artistic expressiveness.

  • BELLY DANCE

Belly dance also known as oriental dance, also boasts ancient origins
Middle Eastern and was born as a sacred rite.
The course is suitable for women of all ages, including new mothers.
